Feds to Strengthen Website Security With HTTPS :: Security & Resiliency :: PivotPoint

A newly proposed policy directive would require all new publicly accessible federal websites and Web services to adopt HTTPS Web encryption within the next two years in a move designed to strengthen website security. Existing federal websites would also be called on to shift over to HTTPS as soon as possible, prioritizing sites and connections that involve sensitive data.
